USS LEFTWICH was the 22nd SPRUANCE - class destroyer and the second ship in that class decommissioned. Stricken from the Navy list on March 27, 1998, the LEFTWICH was then berthed at the Naval Inactive Ship Maintenance Facility (NISMF), Pearl Harbor, HI, until she was sunk as a target on August 1, 2003, at 022° 48' 47.0" North, 160° 34' 00.0" West. The USS LEFTWICH was homeported in Pearl Harbor, HI., and was the first ship in the Navy named after Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel William G. Leftwich, Jr.

I am a New Berlin City Council member and am a past President of the New Berlin Board of Education. I am also a husband and father to three beautiful children. As a community leader, I know the issues that are important to this community and its families.

I graduated from Brookfield East High School. I then began my life in public service by joining the Navy and serving onboard the USS Leftwich. I was lucky enough to travel the world and become friends with some of the most incredible and patriotic people I have ever met. But, most importantly, I learned that this is the Greatest Country on earth. After serving, I attended Waukesha County Technical College, where I earned an associate degree in Marketing. I have enjoyed a successful 25+ year career in sales and marketing.

In 2003, my wife and I, of twenty years, built our home and started our family in New Berlin. I decided to run for a seat on the New Berlin Board of Education when my daughter started public school. I wanted to take an active role in my children's education. I served on the Board for nine years, six as the President of that Board.

Missing public service, I again ran for office and won a New Berlin City Council seat. I enjoy the opportunity to work with families, business owners, and organizations to find solutions to the community's issues. The work ethic that Wisconsinites are known for runs through my veins, and I look forward to working hard for and with the residents, business leaders, and organizations of Assembly District 15. After all, they deserve someone who will work as hard for them as they do for their families.

I am running for State Assembly because I want to bring family values and the knowledge skills I have learned in business and through a life of serving the community to Madison.
